(925 gamblers voted)

There are 11 roulette bets in classic roulette. Depending on the chances of success, the rates have different payout ratios. For example, the biggest win would be 35:1 (or 35 to 1), i.e. a win is 35 times your roulette bets if you bet on a specific number, but the chances of success are small 1/37. The smallest gain is for equals (1:1), but the probability of winning is 18/37, i.e. just below 50%.

Note 1: Special Rules

In roulette there are special rules that apply only to the last 3 bets in the table (they are marked with an(*)). These comments apply to cases where the ball has dropped to zero. There are several options here.

Rule "En Prison": a player loses only half of his bet when rolls out 0 (only for European Roulette)
Rule of "Surrender": a player loses half of his roulette bet when 0 drops (only for American Roulette)
The rule of "La Partage": the player loses half of the bet with a roll of 0 (only for French roulette bets)
These three rules reduce the casino advantage by exactly 2 times: up to 1.35% in the European and up to 2.63% in the American roulette bets.

Note 2: Verbal bets

There are also verbal bets in European Roulette.

How many players can place roulette bets?
- Several players can play at the same roulette table, all of them play independently of each other. It can be said that every player plays against the casino.
