Venetian Macao and Conrad Macao have received WTA awards
Venetian Resort Macao received a number of awards at the 25th annual World Travel Awards - Asia & Australia, which took place last Monday in Hong Kong.
The hotel, owned by Sands China, won the nominations "The main resort of Asia", "The main casino-resort of Asia" and "The main resort of Macao".
The first World Travel Awards ceremony was held in 1993. Its purpose was to reward the best tourist organizations in the world. Now the event is considered the most prestigious in the travel and tourism industry.
The WTA voting, which is held on the organizers' website, can involve professionals from the tourism sector, as well as businessmen and holidaymakers.
"It is a great honor for us to receive these awards for the tenth consecutive year. This result would not have been possible without the diligent work of our talented, dedicated team, for which we are incredibly grateful," - said Mark McWinney, senior vice president of resort development at Sands China Ltd.
At the same ceremony, the Conrad Macao Luxury Hotel, located in Sands Cotai Central, was awarded with the title of "Best Conference Hotel of China in 2018" and "Best Hotel in Macau 2018".
In early August, Sands China Ltd announced the launch of a large-scale campaign to train its employees respect and ethics in the workplace.
