The Osaka government wants to get support from the female part of prefecture population

Representatives of the prefectural and city authorities of Osaka held the first lecture event in order to gain support and understanding from the Project Tsubomisaku local women's group.

Polls showed that Japanese women tend to oppose the creation of a casino. Therefore, the Osaka government decided to expand its outreach activities specifically for the female part of the population.

During the lecture event, the representatives of Tsubomisaku voiced their vision of the project's weaknesses. The problems noted by the members of the group went beyond the gambling addiction.

Women emphasized that the island of Yumeshima should be adequately protected from the tsunami and provide medical support, as well as provide more comfortable access to the island than now.
