Poland is covered by a wave of censorship

Poland will censor illegal gambling websites

For polish Internet users access to online casino sites which banned in the state territory will be closed. Each attempt to go to such a resource will be "on a note" from the government.

Local Internet service providers (ISPs) will inform state authorities about attempts by citizens to access online casino sites. Web sites used to provide illegal services will be added to a specially created register.

The government plans to approve a new position of inspector, to which Internet providers will send information about access attempts. This information will be transmitted without notification and consent of the users.

Local organizations are concerned that new measures may be the beginning of the introduction of restrictions over the Internet. However, some countries apply similar restrictions on online activities, for example, the Canadian province of Quebec, and the United Kingdom.

A little earlier, the Polish court affirmed the right of the government to create a blacklist of illegal gambling sites. Representatives of gambling companies could not resist this in any way.
