Imperial Pacific Hotel & Casino has resumed its work

The local casino division of Imperial Pacific International Holdings Ltd resumed operations on the Pacific island of Saipan after a short break.

According to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the company suspended the work of an integrated resort in Saipan on November 16. Casinos were closed for two days.

The reason for the temporary closure is typhoon Utah, which struck the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the jurisdiction of the United States.

The integrated resort resumed operation at 18:00 on November 18th. The administration of the institution reported that until the full normalization of the situation on the island, the facility will work only in one shift from 18:00 to 2:00. The work of the island’s airport was also resumed.

The parent company, Imperial Pacific, said in an interim report that the sales of VIP chips in the Saipan resort amounted to about 500.3 billion Hong Kong dollars ($ 12.81 billion) in the first half of 2018. The income indicator is 48.9% less than the profit for the same period last year.

Recall that the gambling regulator of the island of Saipan doubts the need to provide 2,000 hotel rooms at the Imperial Pacific Hotel, which were discussed in an exclusive license agreement.
