Google will not advertise gambling in Italy
Google has informed Italian advertisers that it will no longer be able to provide gambling-oriented advertising content on the territory of the state.
This decision was made after the publication of the decree on dignity, sponsored by the Prime Minister of Italy Luigi Di Mayo.
The letter says that the company has changed the section of the gambling and games policy in AdWords concerning advertising in Italy. According to the innovations, gambling-oriented advertising content will no longer be distributed by Google in this particular country.
The new Google concept has already entered into force. The company noted that advertisers can continue to advertise their products and services in the field of gambling in other countries.
According to Giovanni Garcia, the ban on advertising will entail a lot of negative consequences. The expert believes that the decree will be temporary and will be abolished soon. Otherwise, he noted, the government can not avoid lawsuits.
