GiG plans to enter the Spanish market

Gaming Innovation Group Inc. (GiG) applied for a work as a B2C online casino and obtaining a license for betting activities in Spain as part of expansion into regulated markets.

In the licensing process, GiG certifies its technical B2B platform and will offer services and solutions to external licensed operators in the Spanish market. Implementation is scheduled for the second half of 2019.

Gambling is an important part of Spanish culture. The country has recorded one of the highest rates of spending money on gambling in Europe, and it has increased steadily over the past 20 years.

In 2011, Spain introduced the regulation of online gambling at the national level, the transition from offline to online games has further stimulated the development of gambling, especially interest in sports betting. The total gross income from gambling in Spain in 2017 amounted to about $10 billion, of which 10% accounted for online gambling. According to forecasts, by 2023 this number may increase by 15%. Spain is considering harmonizing rules regarding responsible gambling advertising in accordance with other regulated markets, increasing the safety of players and the sustainability of the market.

GiG has every chance to realize opportunities in the Spanish market. The company's work covers all the verticals in the iGaming chain, supporting the growth of operators with the help of full turnkey solutions and advanced services, products and solutions that can be optimized for the individual requirements of operators.

Currently, GiG owns licenses from Malta, United Kingdom, New Jersey, Germany, and also awaits a response from the Swedish gambling regulator.
