For high-rollers In Japanese IRs will be implemented technology of ID registration and verification
An expert committee that sets ground rules for newly approved integrated resorts in Japan proposed mandatory identification of players with high bets.
A casino customer who wants to buy chips worth 300,000 yen or more will be required to undergo an additional identity check. The committee also proposed that the maximum area on which the casino will be located was limited to 3% of the entire IR territory.
The group also took the initiative to increase the minimum size of hotel rooms in national centers.
Another rule developed by experts is the exchange of information between the Casino Management Committee and the IR Supervision Committee for any transactions in the amount of 1 million yen ($8,830).
The Japanese government will issue a decree fixing these norms, as well as other standards of IR work in 2019. It will be based on the law promoting the development of IR and complex tourist facilities.
