Another operator is interested in licensing in the Japanese market

The former managing partner of the Grand Waldo casino in Macau, through a subsidiary, signed a memorandum of mutual assistance to develop an integrated resort (IR) in Japan.

Get Nice Holdings Ltd announced that its division Genius Wise Holdings Ltd will cooperate with the Japanese Shotoku Rinaldo Corp to create a joint venture to develop a casino resort in Japan. The IRPP will be located in Shizuoka Prefecture, on the south-central coast of Honshu Island and southwest of Tokyo and Yokohama.

Get Nice provided stock options for a total of HK$75.3 million ($9.6 million) to three shareholders of Shotoku Rinaldo Corp.

A total of 289.8 million options were offered at a strike price of HKD 0.26 per share.

In the announcement of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, it is reported that partners will seek to obtain a license to build an integrated resort in the municipality of Makinohara Shi.

An integrated resort with a total area of about 400,000 square meters will consist of hotels, casinos, restaurants, shops, conference halls and various kinds of entertainment facilities.

Shotoku Rinaldo Corp. and its beneficiaries have long been doing business in Japan related to medical equipment, health care, agricultural products, and gambling throughout Asia.

Partners believe that obtaining a license will provide, on the one hand, Get Nice's experience in building and managing casinos in Macau, and on the other, knowledge of the Japanese market, which Shotoku Rinaldo Corp. has.

At the moment, the company is the only candidate nominated by the Makinohara-Shi government to file an application with the central government of Japan.
