All casinos in Albania will be closed
All private gambling establishments in Albania, including betting centers and casinos, will be closed by December 31, 2018.
The Minister of Finance of Albania, Arben Ahmetai, expressed his critical attitude to gambling and said that the final decision was made: by the end of this year, all gambling establishments should stop their work and pay off their debts to the tax service.
According to the Albanian news agency Telegraph, the head of the parliamentary economic commission, Erion Brace, congratulated the representatives of the socialist party on making the right decision. According to him, the deputies did not succumb to the continued pressure of gambling supporters and confidently voted to liquidate the companies associated with gambling. President Ilir Meta also supported this decision.
